If you want to install a specific version of PHP, this article will help you in this difficult task. In this article you will learn how to install PHP 8.0, PHP 7.4, 7.3, 7.2, 7.1 and PHP 7.0 on Ubuntu 20.04, 18.04 and 16.04 LTS using PPA.

Checking the PHP version

Run the following command to check the installed version of PHP:
